Featuring Dusty Barber and Barry Olsavsky, members of Jimmy Parrish and the Ocean Waves Band, The Conch Fritters blends genuine island sounds with unique arrangements of Trop Rock favorites including Calypso, Reggae, Island tunes and Jimmy Buffett to Kenny Chesney and originals. The Conch Fritters Educational Program

“Gumbo for Kids” The “Gumbo for Kids” educational show aims to entertain and enlighten children from Kindergarten through 8th grade. This lively stage performance introduces young people to the musical styles and dominant instruments of the tropics with a live performance and a description of the instruments. Musical styles covered include Calypso, Polynesian, and Reggae. Featured instruments include steel pans, Spanish guitar, ukulele, and authentic regional percussion. Interactive and entertaining, students will never forget the hands-on experience of playing these unique tropical instruments themselves. The wacky and amusing exploits of “The Conch Fritters” will keep students engaged as they learn.  “Gumbo for Kids” promises to be a memorable experience for children, parents, and teachers alike. As we like to say, “Don’t worry, ‘bout a ‘ting, ‘cause every little ‘ting gonna be alright!”
